A few quick notes from J Star about your child's classes      

   

Punctuality

It is important that pupils arrive promptly and are ready to begin class on time. This allows our pupils a proper warm up and mitigates the risk of injury. Pupils must respect their instructors and their fellow students by following directions, paying attention, and following class rules


Parents Enquiries

To avoid taking up class time in between and during lessons, any parents who have queries over their child's dance class, please leave a message with the class teacher or assistant and Jaynie (Principal) or Helen (Office manager) will be happy contact parents ASAP. Pupil Safety in the Dance Studio

Pupils to take care when moving between Dance Studios, particularly if barefoot.


Our responsibility

Dance Teachers are not responsible for your child once lessons are over. Parents must ensure children are collected punctually at the end of lessons.


Anti Social Behaviour

Bullying will not be tolerated. Any pupil caught or reported bullying during lessons or whilst waiting for classes to start, will be suspended immediately and parents informed of the situation. Verbal abuse, swearing and confrontational behaviour by parents and pupils will not be tolerated by Dance Teachers/Staff at J Star. We reserve the right to withdraw your child from lessons and ask you to leave the premises.


Lost Property

No responsibility will be accepted for loss of money or articles from the vicinity of our Dance Hall. Lost property will be kept for 28 days only. It is advisable for all dancewear/coats to be clearly marked with pupil's name.


Holidays & Payments

Class prices are worked out over a period of 12 months. There is a very small annual price increase on April 1st every year which is in our newsletter (on our facebook group). We require one months notice if your child decides to leave classes. This means that from the day of notice, the fees will be payable for one month after. Once a holiday club booking / class booking has been made and paid for, the booking is non refundable. Bookings made but not paid for are still 100% payable if the booking is cancelled with 7 or fewer days notice. 50% of the booking will be payable if cancelled upto 14 days prior to the booking.


We have done everything we can to keep your families and our families safe and we ask that your respect and follow our rules for the smooth running ☺️
